“My plan as West Jordan’s next mayor is simple. It’s to advocate, listen, and lead.” – Zach Jacob
My number one role as your mayor is to advocate for the interests of West Jordan on regional boards and committees, and with our governing partners such as the school district, the state legislature, the governor’s office, and more. I will be a tireless advocate for the people and businesses in our great city.
As your mayor, I will continue to lead the charge in gathering citizen input on the issues that come before the city council. Whether it’s the role of elected and appointed officials in our form of government, or whether roundabouts should be the preferred intersection type, or whether we should issue bonds for amenities like recreation centers, I want to hear from you. It’s your city.
Above all, the mayor’s job is to provide a vision and direction for the city, and to rally the city council and staff to work towards that vision. While continuing to gather your input on what our city should be, I’ll work to clearly communicate where we’re going, and I’ll be tirelessly working to get us there. West Jordan has a very bright future, and it starts with leadership.
